Studio

my no.1 crush

I have a crush on Daylight Studios. Since the first my eyes laid upon her, my heart has been in the constantly secure, unyielding grip of her hands. The muse’s vise. The palm of Venus. I feel the lightest of heads and the breath escapes my lungs every time the name presents itself to me. I see letters on building advertisements and they rearrange themselves to the poetry that is her name, a language unto its own. Here there and everywhere eight days a week.

In the loneliest and most apathetic of moods, I sat on the train, dreading the grey winter sky and life itself. I fumbled through Sodoku. She entered. Like a winter’s pearl, this coruscating beauty sat down across from me and the vision of her stimulated a clairvoyance upon my person. Unable to take my eyes away for more than a few seconds, those seconds that lasted eternities, I noticed at her pulling out her own small, paper pamphlet containing Sodoku puzzles – “irregular polyomino.” My stomach sank deeply and firecrackers went off where it used to sit. Her mathematics surpassed light years in galaxies afar, her ceilings stretched past the gods and the chairs they sat on. This rara avis my existence was to become enamored upon. I ask you how could it not? Her seraphic visage made my nerves unfold producing the sweetest of springs, cherry blossomed. I wished nothing more than to walk the ice of this mountain carving glacier.

I know what you’re thinking. You’ll say that it’s nothing to get hung about, she is drywall and concrete and has a wide loading dock. But this brightness shines unlike any other that you’ll ever see. She is cloud creating, and if ever you were to be graced with the air of my love, you’d love her to.

Now if I could only tell her how I feel…
